usage
打款 is specifically a bank/company transfer — more businesslike than 转账 (zhuǎnzhàng, general transfer) or 付款 (fùkuǎn, to pay). 打 here has the sense of 'to send / dispatch', same as in 打电话 (to make a call) or 打电报 (to send a telegram).
