Tips

history
Yin Zhu, courtesy name Shilu (), was a Northern Song scholar-official and a key figure in the early classical-prose revival movement (古文运动). He worked closely with Ouyang Xiu () and Fan Zhongyan (范仲淹), advocating a return to the lean, direct style of Han and Tang prose against the ornate parallel prose then in fashion. His best-known work is 《河南先生》. He was also a military advisor on the Western Xia frontier.
