元和

Era name (年号) used by Emperor Xianzong (唐宪宗) of the Tang dynasty, 806-820 CE. Remembered as the 元和中兴, a brief revival of central authority after the An Lushan rebellion, and a peak of classical-prose literature — the writers Han Yu (韩愈), Liu Zongyuan (柳宗元), and Bai Juyi (白居易) were all active in this period.
