Meanings

Literally 'he two' — a colloquial way to say 'the two of them'.

Tā liǎ shì hǎo péngyou.

The two of them are good friends.

grammar

俩 (liǎ) already means 'two' so never say 他两个 when using 他俩. Similarly, 我俩 means 'the two of us' and 你俩 means 'you two'.

mistakes

Do not confuse 俩 (liǎ, 'two of') with 两 (liǎng, 'two'). 俩 is used as a pronoun suffix and cannot be followed by a measure word.
