Tips

history
In one common version of the Three Sovereigns myth, 天皇 (Tiānhuáng), (Dìhuáng), and 人皇 (Rénhuáng) are the three primordial rulers — though there are competing lists where (Fúxī), (Nǚwā), and (Shénnóng) take the three slots. 人皇 is sometimes identified with or with the legendary 人皇 of nine brothers.
culture
Heavily used in modern xianxia (仙侠) and xuanhuan (玄幻) web novels and games — typically the highest mortal title, ranking just below or alongside gods ( shén) and demon emperors ( móhuáng).
