Tips

culture
Calculated from the sun's position on the ecliptic, the 24 solar terms divide the solar year into ~15-day periods and guided traditional agriculture. UNESCO inscribed them as Intangible Cultural Heritage in 2016. The terms come in pairs of starts (立春/立夏/立秋/立冬), equinoxes/solstices (春分/秋分/夏至/冬至), and climate markers (芒种, 大雪 etc.).
