Not in CC-CEDICT or Xinhua as a headword. 占 in this sense is an old rice classifier (see 占城稻, the Champa rice imported into Song-dynasty China), surviving in regional variety names like 黄占米, 白占, 丝苗占. Its presence in a news "animal" frequency list is almost certainly from agricultural or feed-ingredient articles.
