Huo Yuanjia (1868-1910) was a master of 迷踪艺 kung fu who became a national hero by publicly defeating foreign fighters at a time when China was humiliated by colonial powers. He founded the 精武体育会 (Chin Woo Athletic Association) in 1910 to promote Chinese martial arts and national pride. His patriotic legacy made him an enduring symbol of Chinese resistance and dignity.
