Served Cao Wei (Cáo Wèi) as Grand Tutor 太傅 (tàifù). Together with Wang Xizhi 王羲之 (Wáng Xīzhī), often called (Zhōng-Wáng) in calligraphy circles. His transitional style bridged clerical script (lìshū 隶书) and the regular script (kǎishū 楷书) that became standard.
mistakes
here is pronounced yáo, NOT yóu. The reading shifts depending on context (yáo for the name and 'follow', yóu in 'unrest' senses).
