金目 (jīnmù, gold-eye) + 鲈 (lú, perch / sea bass) — gold-eyed sea bass. The fish really does have a luminous gold sheen in its eyes when light hits.

Catadromous: lives mostly in fresh / brackish water, then migrates to the sea to spawn. Major aquaculture species in Taiwan, Thailand, Australia and southern China — Australia even markets it under its Aboriginal name barramundi.
