In January 2021 her ex-partner Zhang Heng publicly alleged she had commissioned two surrogate children in the U.S. and then attempted to abandon them. In August 2021 Chinese tax authorities fined her ¥299 million for tax evasion on Qing Ya Ji (《倩女幽魂》), and her name and image were removed from streaming platforms.
