history
From the Tang tale of 卢生 (Lú Shēng), who fell asleep at an inn in Handan, dreamed an entire life of rank and riches, and awoke to find his millet still not cooked. 黄粱一梦 is the close-cousin chengyu. The "Handan road" came to stand for the illusory path of worldly ambition.
