When used as a noun, 空闲 means "spare time" or "leisure." When used as an adjective, it means "free" or "unoccupied." Note the 4th tone on 空 (kòng), not 1st tone.
mistakes
Don't confuse kòng (空闲, free/vacant) with kōng (空气, air/empty). The tone changes the meaning.
