usage

祝贺 is used for achievements and milestones. 祝 alone is for wishes: 祝你生日快乐 (Happy Birthday), 祝你好运 (Good luck). 恭喜 (gōngxǐ) is a more casual 'congrats.'

usage

恭喜 (gōngxǐ) is warmer and more colloquial. 祝贺 is slightly more formal. Both work for congratulations.
