珠江三角洲 (Pearl River Delta) is one of the world's densest economic zones — Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Dongguan, Foshan, and by extension Hong Kong and Macau all sit on it. China's third-longest river by discharge, after only the Yangtze and the Yellow River.
