Literally 'rhinoceros bird' — a classic textbook example of symbiosis. The oxpecker rides on large African mammals (rhinos, buffalo, zebras), eating ticks and insects. Modern research shows the relationship is closer to mild parasitism, since the birds also peck at wounds for blood.
