history

One of three decisive campaigns of 1948-49, with the 辽沈战役 in the north-east and the 平津战役 around Beijing and Tianjin. It is named after 淮海, the land between the Huai River and the sea, and it destroyed the main Nationalist forces north of the Yangtze.
