亦宛然掌中剧团 (Yìwǎnrán Glove Puppet Troupe) and a celebrated keeper of Taiwanese folk theater. He starred as himself in Hou Hsiao-hsien's
戏梦人生 (Xìmèng Rénshēng, 'The Puppetmaster,' 1993) and appeared in
悲情城市 (Bēiqíng Chéngshì, 'A City of Sadness').
