晴雯

In Chapter 52 she gets up from a sickbed to darn Baoyu's scorched peacock-feather cloak — 勇晴雯病补雀金裘 ('Brave Qingwen mends the peacock cape while ill'), a byword for loyal service. She is slandered and dismissed by Lady Wang, dies young, and Baoyu mourns her in 《芙蓉女儿诔》 ('Eulogy for the Hibiscus Maiden').
