斶 has essentially no use in modern Chinese - it survives only in the name of 颜斶, the proud Qi scholar of the Strategies of the Warring States, known for the line 士贵，王不贵 ('the scholar is noble, the king is not'). The Hanshu writes the same name as 颜歜.
