Formed 1996 in Beijing. Core duo: Peng Lei (
彭磊, vocals/guitar, also a filmmaker and animator) and Pang Kuan (
庞宽, synths/vocals). Went through stylistic phases — punk in the 90s, new wave and disco-rock from the 2000s on. Won 《
乐队的夏天》 season 1 in 2019, which reintroduced them to a massive post-millennial audience.
