惠子, also known as
惠施 (Huì Shī), was a politician-philosopher of the
名家 (School of Logicians) during the Warring States period. He is mostly remembered through
《庄子》, which features him sparring with Zhuangzi in famous dialogues like
濠梁之辩 ('the debate on the bridge over the Hao river') about whether one can know that fish are happy.
