《
诗经》 (the Book of Songs, ca. 11th-6th c. BCE) is divided into three sections:
风 (folk airs),
雅 (court hymns, split into
大雅 and
小雅), and
颂 (eulogies).
小雅 contains 74 poems on banquets, court life, and political complaint. It also doubles as a common given name meaning roughly 'little elegance'.
