culture
One of China's four great sea catches (四大海产), with 小黄鱼, 带鱼 and 乌贼. Overfishing in the 1970s and 80s wiped out most of the wild stock, and today most of it is farmed in Fujian. On menus it is often just 黄鱼 or 黄花鱼.
