鲲 of the northern sea, which turns into the bird
鹏: its wings are like clouds hanging from the sky, and it rises ninety thousand li on the whirlwind. So
大鹏 stands for great ambition:
大鹏展翅 (the roc spreads its wings) is a common wish for a graduate, as is
鹏程万里 (a roc's journey of ten thousand li).
