From Liu Bang's (
刘邦, founding Emperor Gaozu of Han) 《
大风歌》, said to be composed in 195 BCE when he returned to his hometown after suppressing a rebellion:
大风起兮云飞扬,
威加海内兮归故乡,
安得猛士兮守四方 — 'A great wind rises and the clouds fly high; my power reaches within the four seas, and I return to my home town; where shall I find brave men to guard the four quarters?' The shortest and fiercest imperial song in Chinese history.
