A heavily-roasted oolong (rock tea,
岩茶) from the Wuyi Mountains in Fujian. The legend: a Ming-dynasty scholar's mother was cured by tea from these bushes, and he draped his red imperial robe (
红袍) over them in thanks. The original 'mother trees' on Jiuglongke cliff are now off-limits — most Da Hong Pao on the market is grown from cuttings.
