Tips

history
The Mulan 围场 (Mùlán Wéichǎng) was the Qing dynasty's massive imperial hunting reserve in present-day Hebei, established by the Kangxi Emperor in 1681. Emperors held annual autumn hunts there — both for sport and to keep the Eight Banners' martial skills sharp. The county is still named after it.
