The Mulan
围场 was the Qing dynasty's massive imperial hunting reserve in present-day Hebei, established by the Kangxi Emperor in 1681. Emperors held annual autumn hunts there - both for sport and to keep the Eight Banners' martial skills sharp. The county is still named after it.
