Pakistani politician of the Pakistan Peoples Party, Speaker of the National Assembly from 1993 to 1997 and Prime Minister of Pakistan from 2008 to 2012. In Chinese news the surname alone usually means him.

history
In April 2012 he became the first Pakistani prime minister convicted while in office: found in contempt of court, he was sentenced to stay in the courtroom until the judges rose, about 30 seconds. The conviction cost him his office that June.
