usage
Originally manufacturing slang meaning 'made with double the usual material' (so heavier-duty). Now overwhelmingly metaphorical - 双料冠军 (double champion, in two events), 双料影帝 (twice Best Actor), 双料间谍 (double agent). Always implies two of the same kind, not just two general things.
