Tips

register
Sarcastic gamer slang. Often abbreviated 人民币战士 (rénmínbì zhànshì, 'RMB warrior') for the same concept. Commonly contrasted with 平民 (píngmín wánjiā, 'commoner / F2P player') and 微氪 (wēikè, 'micro-spender'). Calling someone a 人民币 is half admiring and half mocking.
culture
Vocabulary that came out of Chinese mobile gacha games where SSR character pulls can demand thousands of yuan via the 抽卡 (chōukǎ, gacha) mechanic. The hierarchy: 白嫖 (báipiáo dǎng, freeloaders) → 微氪人民币 (whales). 氪金 (kèjīn, 'krypton-paying') is the umbrella verb for spending real money.
