Established March 2018 by merging CCTV (中央电视台), CNR (中央人民广播电台), and CRI (中国国际广播电台) into a single super-broadcaster — directly under the Publicity Department of the CCP. Domestically branded 中央广播电视总台 or 总台 (zǒngtái); internationally 'China Media Group' (CMG).
