grammar
一个劲 functions as an adverb before a verb and is typically followed by 地 (de): 一个劲地哭 (kept crying), 一个劲地问 (kept asking). It emphasises relentless continuation of an action. An erhua variant 一个劲儿 (yīgèjìnr) is also common in Beijing speech.
