黄茶 is one of the six traditional Chinese tea categories (
六大茶类), alongside green, white, oolong, black (
红茶), and dark (
黑茶). It is lightly oxidized with a distinctive 'sealing yellow' (
闷黄) step that gives the leaves a yellow tint and a smoother flavor.
