Gao Yun (also called Murong Yun, ) was of Goguryeo (Korean) descent. He came to the throne in 407 after Murong Xi's overthrow, took the era name , and was assassinated by his own bodyguards Li Ban and Tao Ren in 409. He is sometimes counted as the last Later Yan ruler and sometimes as the first Northern Yan ruler.
usage
高云 is also a perfectly common modern Chinese name (lit. 'lofty cloud'). When you encounter it in modern context, it's almost always a contemporary person; the historical emperor is the most prominent named bearer.
