霸王 is most famously associated with 项羽 (Xiàng Yǔ), the 'Hegemon-King of Western Chu' who fought Liu Bang for control of China after the Qin dynasty. The story of his farewell to his concubine 虞姬 is one of China's most tragic love stories.
