Azamat (Russian/Kazakh: Азамат) is a widely used Turkic male name meaning 'brave / noble fellow' in Kazakh, Kyrgyz, and Tatar. Chinese audiences most often encounter it as the name of Azamat Bagatov, the chubby producer-sidekick played by Ken Davitian in Borat (2006), whose naked-fight scene with Sacha Baron Cohen became infamous.
