Tips

history
Named after Lufeng County, Yunnan, where it was excavated in 1938 by paleontologist 杨钟健 (Yang Zhongjian / C.C. Young). It was assembled in 1941 as the first complete dinosaur skeleton ever mounted in China, and appeared on a 1958 postage stamp — the first dinosaur ever featured on a stamp worldwide.
