Coastal county-level city under Taizhou (
台州), Zhejiang. Known for private-sector manufacturing (pumps, shoes), the Changyu Cave (
长屿硐天) quarry park, and Shitang (
石塘) — the village that famously caught the first sunrise of the new millennium (2000) in mainland China. Not to be confused with Wenzhou (
温州), the next city south.
