From Bai Juyi's 《江南》 set of three ci poems (Tang dynasty). The second poem opens 江南杭州 and recalls the moon over the Three Pools and tides at Qiantang. Bai Juyi served as prefect of Hangzhou (822-824) and built the Baidi causeway at West Lake, which still bears his name.
