摩尔斯

摩尔斯 transliterates the surname Morse, almost always referring to Samuel F. B. Morse (1791-1872), American inventor of the telegraph and co-developer of Morse code. The fixed compound 摩尔斯电码 (Morse code) is the most common context. Less commonly it can refer to British detective fiction's Inspector Morse (《摩尔斯探长》).
