Modern e-commerce shorthand for 大促销 — used as a generic label for any flagship sale. Routinely combines with date markers: 双11大促, 618大促, 年中大促. In headlines and app banners 大促 is far more common than the full 大促销.

Originally trade jargon, now mainstream after a decade of Tmall / JD push-notifications. Casual texting; you wouldn't write 大促 in a formal commercial contract — there 促销活动 (promotional event) is the safer term.
