Tips

mistakes
Despite the name, the modern 唐装 is not Tang-dynasty dress — it evolved from the Qing 马褂 mandarin jacket. The 'Tang' here means 'Chinese' in the overseas-Chinatown sense (唐人街 'Chinatown'), not the Tang dynasty. For actual Tang-dynasty clothing, use 汉服 or specify 汉服.
