可兰经 is one of several Chinese transliterations of the Arabic القرآن (al-Qur'an). The more standard modern form is
古兰经 (Gǔlánjīng), which is preferred in the People's Republic of China.
可兰经 is also widely understood. The Quran is considered by Muslims to be the verbatim word of God as revealed to the Prophet Muhammad.
