军号 (jūnhào): bugle (military)

An iconic image of Chinese revolutionary cinema and Long March memory — the bugler whose horn signals reveille, charge, or retreat. The phrase 吹响...的号角 ('to sound the bugle of...') is a fixed metaphor for kicking off a campaign or movement; 军号 is the literal version.

军 (army) + 号 (horn/signal) — 'army horn'. Same 号 as in 号角 (horn) and 喇叭 the cousin word for trumpet. Don't confuse with 军号 in administrative contexts where 号 means 'number' (uncommon).
