About Qiao Ji

c. 1280–1345 · 作家 writer

Yuan dynasty writer of 散曲 verse and plays, ranked with 张可久 as a master of the form. His rule for good writing, 凤头猪肚豹尾 ('phoenix head, pig belly, leopard tail'), is still taught in Chinese schools.

Also called  梦符、 笙鹤翁、 惺惺道人
