From Mao Zedong's 1934 ci-poem 《
清平乐·
会昌》:
踏遍青山人未老,
风景这边独好 — 'I've crossed every green mountain and yet am not old; the scenery is uniquely fine on this side.' Written in Jiangxi during a low point in the Red Army's fortunes as an expression of confidence. Today a stock phrase in business/economic commentary.
