One of the most ubiquitous slang words in modern Chinese. Used for people, products, food, cities — anything with visual appeal. '颜值即正义' (yánzhí jí zhèngyì, 'attractiveness is justice') is a popular (ironic) saying.
usage
Commonly paired with 高 (high) or 低 (low). '颜值在线' means someone looks good today. '颜值担当' is the best-looking member of a group.
