1Han Qide, Chinese cardiovascular pharmacologist and politician, former Vice Chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress (2003-2013)
Medical scientist and member of the Chinese Academy of Sciences who chaired the 九三学社 (Jiusan Society) and was a vice-chairman of the National People's Congress Standing Committee from 2003 to 2013.
Han Qide served as Vice Chairman of the NPC Standing Committee.

From 1968 to 1979 he worked as a doctor in small local hospitals in Shaanxi. The 九三 in the 九三学社 he chaired is 3 September 1945, the date China marks as its victory over Japan.
