金达莱

金达莱 is the Chinese transliteration of Korean jindallae - Rhododendron mucronulatum, a wild azalea that blooms pink in early spring across the Korean peninsula and Manchuria. It is the national flower of North Korea (朝鲜), a symbol of perseverance and joy in Korean poetry, and the title of one of Korea's most beloved poems, Kim Sowol's 'Azaleas'.

Pure phonetic: 金 'jīn' = 'jin', 达 'dá' = 'dal', 莱 'lái' = 'lae'. Don't read the meanings literally ('gold-arrive-pigweed' is meaningless). The character 金 is also Korean - borrowed for the Kim sound.
